Hi all,
So hope to pick this mess up no matter what the shells are.
Can anyone tell from the crappy photo if these are indeed 70's Presidents as advertised?
Thanks,
Creighton

That's so hard to tell. I can't see anything that indicates exactly what type of pearl kit it is.
I wanna know what cymbals are there.
Just heard back. Pick them up Mon. Bass/2 toms/FT/snare. Me too on the cymbals. Suspect the kit is going to be free and than some. Stay tuned :-)

Free drums are always the best drums!
The snare looks interesting. Maybe a Ludwig hi hat and the brass well hope it's nice! Can't wait to hear what you got! Odd lots like this can be jackpots!

Hats stand looks decidedly Pearl to me, as does the bass pedal. I use one every Sunday in a dance band - part of a 70s Pearl kit owned by the piano player and it lives at the club. It's a dead ringer for yours. Very interested to see what you've actually got there! Pics please, when you can...

Could very well be! I was looking at the arch around the pedal. And the white plastic top piece at the cymbal base. Looked Ludwigish. :) But for sure it could be Pearl. You'd know better than me since you use one weekly. Yep your right I can see the foot board folded under the stand.
Very good chance they are Presidents. The kick pedal is the same as the one off of my early 70s fiberglass kit. With the "x" at the ball of the foot on the hat pedal it looks like a match. Something about that snare doesn't look right. Blurry picture, though. Almost looks like it has different lugs. But, you may get lucky and score a 10 lug cob! The 60's Presidents were phenolic. I've seen (in pictures) 70's Presidents in fiberglass and wood fiberglass. I haven't seen a 70s set in phenolic, yet. Those are definitely 70s lugs. My bet is they are fiberglass. I'm thinking you are going to score a cool set. Presidents for Presidents Day! (Well, here in the US, anyway.) PLEASE share some pictures when you get them. I'd love to see what you got!!!
Well they are home. Tear down is going to be easy :-). Snare is a clean/complete COS 8 coffin lug. Shells are wood fiberglass. 12" has some unfortunate strange jigsaw work on one side of the shell. You can just see the rectangle cut between lug screw holes in the picture. The rest appear fine. 20 lug bass.
Both cymbals sound great. If marked very faint under the dirt. 19" has a small edge chip. 16" slight keyhole. Just fine for the 10 yr. old they are heading to.
Most of the stands are blue/red tag Pearl. Quite the inventory task ahead. Extra bass hoop and snare stand. Not seeing top clutch for the HH.
Unless the badges are in the bottom of the box still don't know if I got "Presidents" for Presidents Day :-).
I'm excited. Always wanted to wrap a kit. Never had any kits that needed it.
Oh, $100 2 mile round trip. How did I do?
Thanks!

I think you did quite well! 22, 12, 13, 16? 20 lug should mean 22"? A little love and those will be some nice drums, again. Coffin style lugs on the snare. Cool. I hope you are going to share your re-wrap with us?
