Looks like someone will get stuck with the snare....two bids out the gate when it was listed and no reserve.

I posted the link over at the Rogers FB pages. There is probably a long train of grief behind that ID. A long time ago I paid 300.00 for a drum that I learned much too late was completely bogus. It still lives as a drum. Not mine. I gifted it off to a kid. Who is still happy. Cant stand to see stuff like this.
I've yet to hear from the seller, electrictommy, which leads me to believe that he simply does not want to confront me about the drum. The issues with the rest of kit bear scrutiny as well, but I don't believe he will address those, too.
The phrase "buyer beware" holds true with any item. It's just too bad that the current bidders are not aware of the issues. Or, they are aware and it doesn't bother them!

How do you guys know they are springless lugs?
The little "c-clips" on each insert....
Just for my own education, what do you look for to confirm if the snare drum/tom hoops are orignal or not?

It's really just knowing the details of each companies hoops, which tend to be very distinctive. I know the style of hoops used by rogers during the 60's and early 70's and it's easy to spot a different hoop!

I guess the lesson is ALWAYS come here first before buying. Wealth of info and helpful users to guide in the right direction. That's what I love about this place.
Mark that seller. Pay attention to his name. I have no idea who this clown is, but he is not to be trusted by any measure.
