Okay, Drumguy, What I do for small parts such as tension rods is after they are rinsed with water (after Evaporust), place them in a large sieve and use a hair dryer on low heat. Shake the parts around a bit until they are dry and you're good to go! Hope I have been helpful, sir. Brian

Never thought of that. I don't have a hair dryer. Have no need for one hint hint. But I do have a heat gun. If I put it on low and don't hold it to close to the parts then it should work. Thanks salty.

Sounds like a good idea! I couple of years ago, I donated my ponytail to kids with cancer in honour of a former band-mate who passed away. I've kept it buzzed ever since. I no longer need a hair dryer either. Bald is beautiful! Ask Jason Bonham!

I use to have long hair back it my early 20's. I looked like Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden back when he had long hair. If I still had it I'd probably donate it too. Great Cause. Sorry to here about your band mate.

Thanks, Drumguy. My band mate was a great guy. I think about him every time we play.

Just over 6 years ago. A former band mate and friend of mine, Guitarist, dropped dead at his home. He was 33 years old. Brilliant guitar player. I had only seen him once in 6 years cause we had had a falling out. On May 15th, 2009 I ran into a drummer I knew and he told me that Billy was in the hospital. Something happen to him. A couple days later I saw him again and ask how Bill was doing and he said that he died. The funeral was that day so went and ran into his sister and parents and they told me one of the main artories to his heart ruptured on the 13th of may. He was brain dead instantly. He died on the 15th. It was quite the shock cause I am only a few months older than he was. Never easy when you lose someone you knew for years.
