hello, im a little nervous about buying my first vintage kit, and its a direct purchase delivered to my door by the seller here in Ontario Canada.....its a 1938 slingerland radio king 4 pc including snare..wanted 3300 asking price...agrees to 1600...can anyone comment as to whether this might be a reasonable......not a mint kit but not broken anywhere. thanks
Yes you should be worried. I saw that same pic on Craigslist-Rhode Island the other day and it's listed as being in Portland, Me. Here's the screen shot of the listing. I hope the Ebay set is for real and the CL posting is the fraud. You need to contact the seller or Ebay or Paypal. Good luck and sorry for your stress.
Edit: I just sent a reply to the CL add to see what I get for an answer. I'll let you know if I get a reply.
Check the shipping tracker in my eBay.
The Craigslist seller replied to my inquiry and said he'd be around this weekend. . . . even though you just bought this same set on Ebay. Something is definitely wrong with this.

Send the guy this posting and see what he says.

Who is the seller..? What area..?
I'm in Georgetown and know most of the sellers...
I went through the same ordeal but to the tune of over $3k. Ebay and Paypal got my money back. If he can't prove he shipped after so many days then it's an automatic case that will close in your favor.

But for $1600/ish..
Great deal and great drums..

P.s. The snare is worth $600++'on its own...
