Tiny MIJ Kit Last viewed: 7 seconds ago

Here's a funky little MIJ-ette or Midget kit that I have set up for practice.

The snare is 3 x 11 NOB probably Sonor or Tromsa according to our friend Father-42 from the forum.

6 x 9 Tom, 10 x 16 Bass Drum.

All drums are single tension

11" Zanchi / Ajaha Hi Hat combination

18" Super-Zyn

I have a lot of fun playing this set even though there's no floor tom to go to.

Sorry we can't see it from the front. Bass drum is on a homemade drum riser set up against the wall which stops it from sliding away.

That's super cool Chromeo! I bet you can't help but lay down some sweet grooves with that setup.

That is COOL !

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

Yes... Nice little Stars... I did buy a set of those for my kids back in the 70's.. When they tired/outgrew them we gifted them out to my Guitarist's son.

About four youngsters (that I know of) learned to play drums on that kit... and each are still drumming today..

(I always wondered how they would sound with "proper" heads on them, the originals were like paper)..

Cheers

John

Cheers John. They sound great with proper heads. I have coated ambassador on the bass drum with a fiberskyn resonant head. Sounds very nice.

That is COOL !

Thanks man. I think so too. The photos don't do the white marine pearl any justice. I need to get a proper drum riser / floor tom - bass drum conversion kit.
