Am I the only one around here who doesn't get what your saying? Sorry.

When I saw this posted it was right after I saw a Craigslist ad for a "4 piece 60's Gretsch silver sparkle kit" for sale with no price. I thought it might be the same kit

To clarify: This Gretsch set was owned by a guy who died 3 yrs. ago. The set was given to him by a friend who couldn't play

anymore, due to his health. I called his wife to see if she would

sell the drums, after his death. The wife just died a month ago.

I'm trying to get in touch with the daughter to see if they will sell

the drums. That's where I stand as of now. I'm trying to get these

before they have an estate auction. I will keep you updated as

I can seal the deal. I'll probably clean these up and sell them, as

I already own a '65 Gretsch set that my dad bought new/Champaigne

sparkle. Then going to put this money toward my holy grail ROGERS

red onyx set.

That didn't clarify anything. That makes it worse! What does that backstory contribute to estimating the value of this set? It's not even a solid plan, unless your plan is to rip off a mourning family by conning them into selling the drumset away from an auction format.

Man what is this coming too is it really turning to this if it's true It is not cool

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
