Like most guitar players .... I feel you can never really have too many ! The problem is having adequate room to store, keep, display and play them. The other big problem is finding space to hide some of them so the wife doesn't know the real extent of your hopeless addiction.

I've got about 10 kits + a couple of work in progress projects.

34 sets, I used to think 20 would be a good place to stop...now I'm looking at 35 as a stopping point...maybe.

Still less than Bun and way less than Randy.

I'll chime in.....................

21 kits (about 50% or so are vintage; mostly MIJ)

12 additional snares (not counting the snares with each kit, which may or may not match the kit).

I really like idrum4fun's way of displaying snares!

I'd like to set up and/or display a lot of my vintage kits. I have some decent space in my basement. I can probably fit about 4 kits wide and about 3-4 kits deep (with enough room to play each one), but getting behind them and maneuvering around them might be a challenge!

Anyone have any cool ideas for displaying kits and snares? This might actually warrant another thread.................................

PS - 7 'proud' inches fully erect! Falling Do[/QUOTE]

That's just a bit too much info.Toilet

I have two kits and a few snares, never understood the collecting part of drumming. I know a guy who has around 30-40 mint condition kits stacked up neatly in a nice sized room, not to mention his snare drums. I hate seeing beautiful drums stacked up and never used, just seems like a waste to me. I suppose some do it as an investment or a need to have all the different finishes that a particular company or companies offered.

Well, it's super-important to let folks know you don't share their interest in this or that. Good job!

If I had the dough I'd have a few kits for sure, selected based on difference - sizes/make/model etc. Oooh I'd get me some Rogers!

Cool thread, not enough pictures tho.....:)

Slow starter here 5 kits, 20+ snares not sure can't recall where some are hidden :-). Working to improve my count. Couple of kits may sell to make room for something different. Every snare so far I like and will just keep adding.

Nothing special here but I like them.
