New era snare wires, made in England

Does anyone have any information on the origin of these snares, when they were made, if they are still making them? They sound great.

I'm certainly not the final word, but the term "New Era" was used by Premier Drum Co. on much of their hardware and snare wires beginning after the First World War. England considered the period following that war a modern "new era". Snare sets embossed with the "New Era" insignia can be found throughout the mid to late 20th Century in the Premier line.
