early 60s Trixon, Luxus model I'd guess. Very cheap.

From Fayray

early 60s Trixon, Luxus model I'd guess. Very cheap.

I think it would serve him well to specify - 'very cheap' - as in what a deal! or it is a cheaply made/low quality kit.....

My understanding is that 60s Trixon are very collectible and generally quite desireable and of high value.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

I just looked closely at whatever i could tell from the badge on the snare drum, and saw that it is in fact a Trixon.. Thanks Drummerjohn and Fayrayfor the insight..Any idea as to what it might be worth ?

sorry, I meant the asking price is cheap. They are cool drums and very collectible. These early ones may have odd sized shells but I'm not sure . My Telstar kit is from the same vintage and shells are a bit odd sized. Aquarian American Vintage heads fit though.

The early ones have the teardrop shaped lugs rather than the later rectangular ones

I would reckon around $800 or so. Just guessing. I also reckon someone wanting a snare in that finish would pay $300-$350 on its own

I knew they had some significant value. These drums look to be standard sizes but i'm no Trixon expert by any means. In short, i'm clueless..

Just thought they may be worth picking up and possibly flipping later on.

I know that there would be some possible Trixon collectors up here who may be interested. ;). As of now, it is too late to contact the seller, as it is past 11pm here in eastern Canada, but i may just call him tomorrow morning and make him an offer and see what he says.

If these drums were blue, i would probably keep them..
