I don;t get it. You didn't ask if they were wrapped? Sight unseen with no further information?
Maybe she's confused and they're Rockers...

I had a call from my ad in the paper years ago..wanting drums/cymbals...
A lady called and said she had a BD and a snare....thinking it was a 20's Lud kit,I asked if it had a painted scene on front head..yes,she said!>>So,planned on being there early next morn..couldn't sleep even....thinking maybe Black Beauty snare.....
When I got there at 8 AM..she took me in to find a 50's Gretsch Harlequin BD and matching snare..with a painted scene...
The scene was........"Rob Jinx...worlds WORST drummer"..and a caricature of Rob playing said kit, smoking a cigar/twirling his stix!
My GF laughed so hard when I told her later what I got!
what if the guy has Alzheimer's and bought the kit in 86....
just kidding!
jason
got a chuckle out of me Jason...
At any rate.... The suspense is almost too much to handle. Hope the kit is a beauty! Just for laughs below, and hope it is true!
My bet is it is a factory matched 22,13,16 with jazz fest in pink oyster pearl....and the guy finally got tired after all these years of being teased about a pink kit. Will go out and buy a different NEW kit with the proceeds.
Nevin
Well,
I met the granddaughter around noon today..
We met up at a local coffee shop about 5miles from my house..she and the family were on there way to a cottage they were renting...
She lives about a 3hr drive from my place...but they were literally passing thru..
The kit came from her granddad...he bought it new at a local store nearby...
* he recalls it was the Christmas of 1957..! (He's 80 now)...
In the ad I seen...it only showed the drums in there nylon cases (bad pic)..
And said...antique drums to sell...I counted the number of drums and noticed...mmmmm
Either there's no Flr tom or no snare..?
No info,..no pics of the wrap...
Only info came from the granddaughter (it says L U D I N G) from her memory...
And she mentioned there all there and good shape...
She drove over..2days later.

I didn't steal them, that's for sure..
But the snare & hats were a nice buy...

Wow!! What a find. That would be awesome to have all that together like it is. I sure wouldn't change it. Congrats on the new acquisition.

Thxs Mike...
But I'm on the hunt for a Flr Tom now..lol
I agree with you completely on that!
Mike
Congrats! That's a great vintage pick! And the cymbals, wow! Score!
I gave up the hunt for a WFL Floor Tom in WMP and settled on a 60's Ludwig Floor Tom. Hope you can eventually add the WFL Floor Tom in WMP.
