I am almost done restoring this old student model Slingerland Student Model Radio King that had the name Zito etched into the drum shell, badge and one of the lugs. Out of curiosity I googled Zito and drummer and learned about this amazing drummer named Ronnie Zito who used to play for Bobby Darin among others. The only other other thing I found was an an old ad of Ronnie who was actually an endorser for Slingerland in the early 60's. This drums is actually date stamped 58 or 59. Stamp is mushed pretty good but it look to be either one of those years. Here are some pics of my drum and a link to the bio for Ronnie Zito. The Slingy ad is in a thumbnail at the bottom.
