Selling a Brook Mays Era Script Logo 4 Pc Rogers drum set. Brook Mays was a music store out of Dallas, they bought the Rogers name and had the drums made overseas. They were high quality drums at a low price, all maple shells and they used the exact same beaver tail lugs that were on the vintage Rogers, along with the script badge. Yamaha bought the rights to the Rogers name a few years later. This is a solid set with maple shells. It has the Red Pearl wrap that has lifted on some spots on the kick drum and on the floor tom. The floor tom is missing the legs. Sizes of the drums are 10, 12, 16, and the kick is 22. Very good condition, well taken care of. Only issue is the hi tom has a crack in the inside ply where the mounting hole is on the inside of the drum. No pitting on the hardware. Make me an offer. Paypal payment. Will ship in two boxes through FedEx with full insurance and tracking. Message me for my number if you would like to talk about the set.

Looks like the newer Yamaha/Rogers. Sold at Costco, amongst others. Luan shells, generic lugs. *Not* beavertail. The Mays sets used the std beavertail lug. Here's a pic. There's a full discussion @ http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82518

Agreed. Those are certainly not beavertail lugs, and the hardware looks very modern (spurs, floor tom leg brackets). Probably the short lived Rogers re-issue around 2007 by Yamaha. That was one of the colors available. If that's the case, I think they sold for $400 brand new at that time.

P.S. A dead giveaway that they were, in fact, the 2007 Yamaha re-issues: Metal Bass Drum Hoops and the wrinkling of the wrap on the top of the bass drum.

That was one of the colors available.

Yes, it was. Saw that exact kit after Googling a pic. Try Rogers Prospector, or Trailblazer.......

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
