Thankful on this Easter Monday (health update)

Just wanted to take a second to thank the great people here at VDF for being such a supportive bunch! I managed to get through all of my gigs with that bile bag, only to break the valve the next night. Of course, I was exhausted, in my pj's, sitting in front of VDF and trying to serve tea...d'oh! A cab ride later I was back at the hospital and things deteriorated from there. I'll spare y'all the details & just say it was painful like Céline Dion doing Zeppelin w/ Yoko Ono on Simmons drums. They almost had to postpone surgery, but long story short the surgery was a success on Thursday. I actually told the operating team that well-wishes were coming in from my drum heroes in T.O., Stratford, Reading, Chi-Town, Cali, Michigan, Prague, Little Rock, The Carolinas...can't list you all, but Thanks for the kind words!!

This one goes out to the fine people at VDF, a little Mojo Love. I was part of a house band about a week before surgery and had never heard or played this particular tune: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWGUkQeHCeA#t=166"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWGUkQeHCeA#t=166[/ame]

Touché my friend! Great reply! The cast in this video is even weirder than my imagined track. OMG, where else could you see Yoko, ?uestlove, Roberta Flack, Ad-Rock & Mike D, members of Cibo Matto & Deerfoot and Justin Vivian Bond dance together. You nailed this!

Good to have you back! It's all a downhill run from here brother. You'll be feeling better and stronger each day. And... friends here can be just as solid and real as any you see on a daily basis. That's the only difference really, we don't get to hang out face to face, but the feelings are the same.

Speedy recovery is next on the agenda.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
