Nice. That's a really rare finish - I've only seen it a few times.
I have a fondness for '73 Rogers kits. :D

I also am fond of the year 1973! I would love to own this kit but have spent way too much on drums recently.
still had No takers on this incredible rare find Rogers kit...seems everybody loves them ,but is to broke.
I am so sorry. The Euro is down and shipping, taxes and customs will break my neck...
Good luck with the deal.

Hello, Ploughman? :)
Seriously these are incredible sweet. Original boxes for stands are icing on the cake.
Yeah... I really hate to let them go ...but, my son's university tuition's are killing me ....so.... Time they find a NEW loving home...... I know I'll never be able to replace them.....Sigh
to only guess; was that a wood dyna, and some pristine pies... lol
No... the original snare was just a chrome dyna model and the cymbals were reg Zildjans...Nothing to special

mgtcnut!
Yes indeed... these are incredible! Thing is, the VDF is primarily a Vintage Drum appreciation/discussion forum, but we do have a FOR SALE section here as a courtesy for our members! What I mean is, hopefully you have these listed in other places too? I only make mention of that because while we DO have an excellent membership here, it probably isn't the "best" or only place to try and sell, and that would be based on what you have already discovered here. While most don't care for what has happened to eBay, it does reach a larger viewing audience, as does www.reverb.com. Have you listed on those two as well? Outstanding set of Rogers here! Someone will eventually be quite happy!

Thanks for the advice I'll try posting them elsewhere also and see if I can get any interested buyers..... yes....Ebay is an option, but they just rape a seller on fees and charges
