Without a little bend put in the badge, they would slightly stick out from the edge of the shell. Not sure how Ludwig put that pinch or bend in...

I have finished the project! Now set up in my drum room is the complete kit with hardware.
I have just posted it for sale too! Have too many kits and although hate to part with this rare little CD, gotta move on...
