Faulty drum head?
i recommend butchers wax it has a drier in it unlike bees wax and holds up well

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Well that could be interesting, if it keeps dry , because I'm thinking maybe beezwax could soften in warm conditions, and I have wondered if this could dampen head response slightly Help2Laughing H bear with me I've had one or two cans tonight! What do you mean by butchers wax though? Pardon my lack of savvy here.

And am doing a gig using it next Saturday , deping for a local big band, -blimey I have to sight read as well! I've recently changed the wires from Canopus dry which I really liked. To the chrome plated ones, as I say the vintage dry are perfect but I worried about them possibly not cutting through the music enough, so I wil
See how these go especially with ambasador coated batter instead of coated diplomat-which I did like. Gig is just a small one in a local church. There regular drummer might be pretty good though. Gulp!!!

the ambassador will give the snare drum a little more volume it will do just fine. relax and have a good time with your gig.
