50's 3ply Gretsch shells Last viewed: 2 hours ago

I'm not interested in selling these drums on eBay. I know a few here have expressed interest. I have more than $2500 into them.

My best selling price today is $1500 USD.

If you or anyone you know is interested please pm or email me.

Orphaned drums that I assembled into a kit.

For sale here are the shells and associated hardware including original badges.

Sizes: bass drum 22x14/tom 13x9 /floor tom 16x16 and 16 lug snare drum 6.5x14

All shells except the floor tom have no extra holes. The floor tom was a tacked resonant head drum and I drilled it for lugs to match the batter head.

The bass is a factory 'naked' (not drilled for tom or cymbal hangers) drum. However, it did have some damage to the inner ply where the previous owner removed the pearl wrap. I repaired it with a small custom fit piece of Maple wood. The damage was only to the inner ply and not through to the outside.

Most of the hardware came to me with the drums I've replaced some with newer hardware.

The toms pictured have the new Brooklyn 302 Series hoops.

The finish is a Custom paint job close to the colour of the 1950's Gretsch Cadillac Green. It's an automotive paint applied by a professional painter

I'm selling the drums only - not the cymbals and stands.

just curious why you wont list it on eBay?? Ive seen you trying to sell this kit for well over a year with no luck. if you put it on eBay in an auction it would definitely sell, so what gives?

where you banned from listing on there?

I wasn't banned haha - yet. I just find it so much trouble and I don't like the fees.

I have two people looking at the kit now so I will see how that shakes out. If I had a good stash of money for buying up-coming drums on eBay or here and a bigger house I probably would not sell the drums. I have 7 setups now....5 Gretsch, one Valje (congas) and a very nice late 60's Pearl kit. I do play them all and it is so tough to make a decision on what to sell......I like all of them.

The shipping is usually what kills the deal. I'm in Canada and pretty much all the customers......so far....are in the USA.

It will be about $365 USD for FedEx Ground (7 business days) from here to Massachusetts USA for instance. I'm selling and doing all transactions in USD because that's what I have to use when buying pretty much all the time. Our Canadian Peso is around .84 of a USD right now.

I will take them off here and maybe give eBay a try. Never sold anything there yet.

I will look into it early next week if I get the time. No hurry here.

I'm pretty sure I can ship one of these kits from BC Canada where I live to California for instance for under $300 Canadian (under $243 USD) but I will have to confirm that. Thanks for looking.

I'm looking at some drums on eBay that I've been waiting for - the only way I can buy them is to sell drums.....fast.

I would sell both these kits - $3500usd shipped - priced for quick sale
