Hey John. That thought has crossed my mind. Which Tamas do you refer to ?I have looked at some Tamas on the web but the Tama interior seems to have a lighter gray color and it goes all the way around the bearing edge and under the wrap. My toms don't have that... Please see attached photos just took these 2 minutes ago.CheersHenning

Ok must be just be the lighting in that one pic... Looked very much like these Tama's.

Cheers

John

You are referring to the tama zola coating ?

My drums have much darker interior... More like the ones I've seen kn the web that slingerland calls spirit 1000... My my drums came with tama brackets. Lugs, badge and hoops are slingerland.

Cheers

No way those toms are 5 ply slings. Maybe 3 ply with the rings removed then painted black or grey or whatever inside?

Yes... from the picture that you posted at the start of the thread... much lighter than your later pics...

(Lots of people have replaced the leg mounts on the floor toms... including myself)..

Cheers

If they are the spirit 1000 then they are 3ply without re-rings... Same quality but no rings. Some sort of student model.

But I'm not shure that mine are that model... Hoped you guys could help me identify ;)

The funny thing is that they are not replaced on the toms. No signs of other brackets but the tamas. No extra holes or anything.

I think you have an early 70`s Windsor kit in the Blue Silver.."Duco"...finish.

I say this because of the Silver inlay on the BD hoops. The only finish they did that to the hoops with. Also the Windsor was a virgin BD with clip on tom.

This may explain the Tama BD mount off center, not Factory, and the tom mount change plus the added FT. The Windsor did not include a FT.

Just my guess.

actually mid 70's and all 80's kits had chrome inlay on the bass drums .
