Yes indeed... it WAS a tom. Fibes never offered that size during the CFMartin era.. plus .. the throw and presumably the butt, are after market and not Fibes. I would say it was a conversion for sure! That all said though, how does it sound? If it fits what you are seeking and the price is right with everything in good shape... buy all means. A unique item for sure.
