May 1977, XP 925 in nat. Natural beech Phonics.

Don`t take anything under $1,300 for them because that`s what they sold for in 77.

Can we see more pics please.

In my opinion the 22" Phonic BD is the best tuning and best sounding BD ever made.

Centennial phonics just don't sell as well as the later silver badge phonics. Not sure why but they don't. Of course the natural beech is a big plus and if the chrome is good then they might go up a lot in a bid.

If you had a centennial snare(only available in ferro-manganese) to go with it that would definitely add about 300.00(+if it's a 6.5x14) more to the value. Like oddball said the 12 is desirable and also the 16 is a hard one to find these days.

By the pics they look really nice, good luck with the sale. These drums need to be played!

Face it, only Ludwig, Gretsch, Camco are really desirable by the masses in the vintage market. To a lesser extent, Rogers. But Sonor, Slingerland, and others no matter how well-made and great sounding are tougher sells.

The small logo Phonics have shaking issues when played hard because of the teardrop boat mounts on the BD. The later Phonics solved that issue with a mount change. I myself bought a later Phonic BD because of the shaking. I bought back my original later on real cheap to keep it original if I wanted it that way again. Also the later Phonics offered lacquers and veneers with a choice of wraps.

Those look like they just came out of the boxes. Agree should be played.

Those are beautiful drums. The floor tom leg mount looks like a later 3 bolt design. Look in the drum and see if they were replaced. Also the tightening bolt looks like a later 80s design.

I'm not sure may is the right month.....?

Can you post a pic of the bass drum or tom mount?

Love phonics, and yes the 12 13 combo is the more desired combination toms. usually they are 13 and14 rack toms.

Finish looks well preserved.
