The Slingerland 6.5 Sound King is indeed a fine drum.

Now you've got me curious. My 6.5" Buddy Rich with TDR strainer is my usual go to snare and that thing is essentially a Sound King shell. How do you hear their differences?

Are you using a ribbon cable for snare wires??

I'm not sure I understand the question.

If it refers to the Sound King, I used plastic straps.

The Premier employs extended wires with hooks that attach to transverse rods inside the throw and butt.
