Club Date set at GC Last viewed: 48 minutes ago

I just saw a very nice looking 65 Club Date set in sky blue pearl at the local GC.

I was in there looking for a mic boom and there she was sitting in the drum dept.

14x20, 8x12, 14x14

They are asking $1199.00 for it.

Should have taken a pic. Jumping2

I called about it. Very nice but it is at a price where you might not get that money back selling it. I would trade my Rogers kit for it.

I agree! I have a Club Date kit, a '66 that I bought here on the forum With a matching jazzfest snare. I paid a hundred or so less than what GC is asking for that one. Not a bad kit at all though!

That's probably $300 overpriced, unless in mint condition.

Still, a desirable wrap and super drums. I wouldn't feel bad if I overpaid a bit on that kit...

That one is priced at full-on retail. Sweet set of Clubbies though.

Too many great drums to list here!

Trading your Rogers for that club date could be seen as an act of insanity.

Orderly, please bring me a white Jacket for this gentlemen.

I dig all vintage drums but for Rogers I prefer Dayton with the sharper edges. Clubdates got me started in vintage drums so no shame in owning another set....just not at that price!!
