I have a question for ebay sellers. Say you post a vintage drum piece. A Bass Drum shell. And you put a Buy It Now of $99.99 on it. But you also have the make an offer feature. A Buyer comes along and offers you $75.00 for the shell and you accept it. The buyer still has to pay the shipping cost on top of the $75.00 Right????

The shipping cost is not included in the $75.00 offer right?????

This post is just hypathetical. Sort of.

Yes, as long as you didn't offer it as free shipping and you have the ship rate posted in the auction?

No I didn't offer it as free shipping. I put BUY IT NOW for whatever my asking price was U.S. Plus Shipping. or make an offer. plus shipping. But I did not offer free shipping and I know I didn't casue when the buyer made his offer the shipping was right underneith it.

I think I will go and put the shipping price right in the auction.

IF the buyer expects you to pay the shipping, it will say so in his "offer." I've had many "best offers," in fact mulling one over on a drum right now. Right under his offer, it clearly states "Shipping is not included in the offer price." That means if I accept his offer, he still pays the calculated shipping cost on TOP of his offer.

You'll be OK!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I took the ad down and reposted it at a lower price. No Make an Offer this time. Already have a watcher on it too.

I think it's rediculous buyers low ball the offer just because they don't want to pay shipping. Why don't they just kick me in the you know while there at it.

Why do so many people get into a bidding war, which they win. Then they don't pay because they sober up and realise they paid too much. If they don't pay right away I know I'm screwed.
