Something New Roger's just joined my Fold.... Last viewed: 10 minutes ago

Just picked this up yesterday...

Roger's Luxor snare in Silver Sparkle..

Looks to be all original except the skins & wires...

However I do have a cpl questions..

Do luxor's come with internal mufflers..? (Special order)..?

Also, could you order them with a key holder..? Mmmm.

No extra holes..and the screws, bolts all match up...

But anything is possible...

If any of you fellow members see anything good or bad..

Pls post yr thoughts...

Thxs again..

Kelly that`s a great looking Luxor with a super wrap colour and looks in top condition too! Congrats on the addition to your Rogers family.Your pix came in upside down so was doing some head standing here, lol. Was just looking at my 1967 Rogers price list and your snare cost $102.00 Canadian in 1967-fair chunk of doe in those days. Not sure of the year of your Luxor and didn`t see anything about drum key holders in that year catalogue, but it did say it came with an internal tone control(muffler).Sorry i can`t be of more help but i`m sure others will have the answers.

Hi Wayne..

Thxs again for the help..

It was delivered to me for $150 (Canadian of course)..lol

I have the original wires waiting to go on..

wrap is great..

hoops, I lined them up to my other originals..

they also look good...But I have a ? about the bottom hoop's gate..!

Seems to be alil squared off as to being completely rounded..?

The Key holder..? I took off the hardware and the wrap fading lines up..even the screws/bolts are correct...

Congrats. The Luxor snare is a great drum that can sing for you if you tension it correctly. I'll gladly take a Luxor over a Dynasonic snare drum to enjoy what I'm playing on a very simple yet elegant drum. It comes without the extra hardware and adjustments for the finnicky fancy drum.

The key holders cost the dealer $6 a dozen complete with mounting screws and washers. So, for about a buck, anyone could buy one, and screw it on to the drum of choice. For about two buks, it could be holding a Rogers drum key. I think that the drum could be ordered either with or without an internal tone control.
