I know its some times difficult to let go of instruments , but this is the second time I've agreed to a price you have listed here, and both times you've reneged on your offered deal. Its only fair to potential buyers to make sure you've thought your sale through before listing, and then honor the deal you've advertise.

If these are not for sale at this price, please make that clear for the next guy. I'm no longer interested at any price.

I listed something on a local internet site here in Canada (similar to CL)

We agreed over the phone to $150 (I was asking $200)...the buyer knew the exact condition.

When he arrived at my place 3hr round trip for him...

He renaged and said all I have is $130 Take it or leave it...!

Knowing he drove a pickup truck 3 hr round trip ..

I figured it would. Cost him. $30+ in gas for a round trip..

I said Thxs for the offer and asked him to leave and wished him a good nite...

15mins later. He knocked again....

With ....ok il take. It for $150..!

I replied , sorry that deal is off the table,

(once you counter offer me...I have the legel right to start over..)

I went outside and ( to be on the safe side) took a pic of this car licence plates.

Looked him in the face and informed him that it is $200,,,, take it or leave it.....!

And. If you leave it...then do so ASAP and peacefully.

So, no sale...lolol..

But I think my point was made and he learnt a $30/40 lesson.

This is not really worth any argument and not my intention, but I believe clarification would be helpful.

You posted this set for $700 or 750 (cant recall since there has been several changes in your ad) with the snare, I sent you a message informing you I was willing to pay $700 or $750 whatever your asking price was for the drums. You sent me a message a day later stating that you changed your mind. Fair enough, I understand that. However, you then list these two drums for $450, once again I inform you I"ll buy them for $450, and then you turn around saying, your waiting on a trade.

There was no counter offer by me. Two times I agreed to an amount that you posted in your listing.

Seriously, I'm no longer interested, but if the drums are for sale, then honor the amount that YOU list in your ad. If you're contemplating other options, then I would remove the listing until you know what you're doing. Otherwise, you're wasting peoples time.

It's all about supply & demand. Happened to me a few times on CL - no action, then re-list 3 months later and they're beating my door down.

I'd love to have those drums for that great price. I just can't spend it right now. You do have some killer deals, though.

I don't want to get caught in the conflict, but it does seem some folks get pretty revved up about their drums. Don't sweat it. It's good entertainment.
