Ok, thank you.

Anyone even care to hear our recording, or this just a waste of time.

Thank you!

Geez, Jeff after all this, you're not going to make us ask are you? Of course we want to hear it! We've all been following along this far, you almost -have to- post up a sample of the recording. Not posting a sample of your recording would be like starting a long thread about a drum restoration and then not posting any photos of the finished drum!

Signing up for You Tube is simple and free. Make an MP3 or a Quicktime file or whatever and upload it to You Tube. Post the link here and we'll all get to hear it.

Looking forward...

John

Do we need to be concerned about copy rights and stuff? I dont want to be sued by a famous artist.

Thank you!

What can they get, Jeff? Your table saw? That ratchet set you bought last year?

Damn the torpedoes... post up the music! Nobody is going to sue anybody. Rock bands make a living covering other rock bands! It's the nature of the beast. 99.9% of the stuff that gets posted here is one of our guys band covering a popular tune. Not many guys doing 'all original' material out there. Post away you're safe.

Here is a pre-release of one of our songs. This is before mastering so its really rough:

https://soundcloud.com/thearcadestudio/one-more-chance-mix-1/s-uxgtN

Setup here was my Sonor Prolites, Benny Greb Snare and all Meinl Cymbals. Evans G2 coated over G1 clear. I am not happy with the drum mix so far. He has me sounding like something out of the 80's.

Sounds great to me! Thank you for sharing that with us. Your singer has a very good voice. I think the drums could be louder, but I always think that. Sure can tell you have a very tight established band, makes our recording sound like beginners, oh ya, we are beginners!

Thank you! That was from my main band Spiralfire during our recent trip to the studio and my first as their drummer. Our album which is being released sounds a lot better but their budget (before my time as their drummer) was around $30k I think.

Bottom line is to have fun. I think for my other band I am going to take a frankenstein kit into the studio. Take the best sounding drums of all my kits and mix them together.
