Posted more pics, There is hand writing on the interior. Things that say "bottom" and "L" on the side of the strainer (interior)

Is that some kind of glue I see around the badge? Also the wrap looks too clean and unfaded. Can you post pics of the inside? Specially around the grommet area? If its not a re-wrap job that's a very nice drum. If its a re-wrap still a nice drum only not as valuable.

I'm thinking 55-59 Gene Krupa Radio king, but that interior looks really dark to be maple,or is it just the lighting?

To the OP,the top rim, should be engraved "Slingerland Radio King" also

There is no engraving on the steel rim on the outside.

Prices are down a bit lately. $250-300++ seems to be what they are selling for on ebay. Seems to depend on the finish. Little more in a rare finish. Check the completed listings link. This is stuff that has sold. I'm kind of surprised to see them going this cheap. Market is really crap for selling some stuff these days.

Real nice snare. Those are solid maple (steambent) shells and sound great. The extended snare wires are missing. Are both throw and tension sides of the clamshell strainers in good shape? Not bent, missing parts etc....? If your not strapped for cash hang onto it a while and see if prices go up maybe? Tough call. Yours is nice as it looks pretty complete. They can be hard to find strainer parts for if bent and or missing. There's one like yours (silver sparkle) except a few years earlier. Was just relisted at $449 plus shipping. It has stick chopper hoops and earlier lugs.
