What a gyp! Did -anybody- get a few shots of the show for us? I'll settle for a few shots taken with a smart phone! Three of our guys go to the show and no pix posted for the VDF'ers who couldn't attend? We ought to yank your VDF union cards! LOLKidding aside, I hope you all had a blast at the show. Did anybody see any interesting individual drums or kits? If it wasn't a 6 hours (each-way) drive for me, I would have attended. I would have enjoyed meeting you all.No beer, food and hang-out afterwards? You jamokes don't know how to have a good time! I might have to go next year just to show you bums how it's done! :pHopefully -somebody- will post a few photos! Sorry I missed the show... and an opportunity to meet all of you face to face.John

Ha ha ha ! that is so funny! Ya sounds like your the party animal of the bunch John!

If I go to the Chicago show I will take pics for you. But I have a decision to make. I can go with my band (ya we call it a band) to Madison Wisconsin to record some tunes in a professional studio located at the Madison Media Institute. Our singers son is studying there and offered to record our band, but its the same day as the Chicago show. Apparently the sound mixing board they have came from the Captain and Tennille's recording studio and several big time bands have recorded albums from this analog dinosaur. So, its either go to drum show or record band. What to do!

Thank you!

What's the travel time between the show and the studio? Three hours?

Early morning, show. Lunch time take off for studio, 3 or 4 o'clock you're sitting down to record! Viola!

It's a 2 day show. Do the recording one day and the show the other.I think you can get from the show to Madison in about 2.5 hours. I'm about a half hour from Madison and I can get to the Drum Show in a little less than 2 hours.

Man, these guys are tough! I say go to the studio. This will have two positive effects:

1. You will have energy for the sessions

2. You will have money remaining in your pocket.

If you go near that show, no telling how broke you could be later in the day. In fact, if you go, make sure you have gas money tucked away for the trip to the studio and back? Laughing H

Well, here's some shots of the CT show. Resolution's not so great as I had to resize these to fit, but you get the idea.
