Lyon and Healy/Slingerland Parade Drum Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Hey,

Just looking to find out more about this drum and if anyone has parts for a drum like this. I know it's a longshot, but I do not think there is another site that has more people, who know more about drums, than this one.

I really need one tension rod, snare tension clamp/rod assembly and one claw. Also, any leads on a 17" head would be great!

Really not even sure what I am going to do with it, but it will be played again!!! Check out the Slingerland Button from a quick hit with a Dremel.

I think I have everything you need and then some. For 17" heads I can retuck the originals if you want to send them to me or I can tuck on to a fesh hoop but having the original heads ensure that it will fit when I send it back to you. What is the depth on the drum? Is it a 12" deep snare? I have several of those rods hanging around in my parts supply but I will need to know the depth.

From the top, the rod size is 11 and 5/16th's. I have the original rod, but it is rusted and looks like it broke and lost an inch. I was able to pull the top off, so i just need a rod. I also have the claw that has the threads, but it is not in good shape. I will either have to tap it, or find another.

What is the set-up for the snare? Looking online, it looks like it should have a rod with a fancy top and a clamp that attaches to that rod to tighten/loosen. I do not see anything on the other side. Was there something that kept the snares in place? I have seen pictures where there is a piece of leather?

Finally, do you know if it is a Slingerland or a Lyon and Healy?

I would need to see more pictures to determine what it is, a picture of the inside of the shell would help a little as well as a picture of any vent hole. I have had several Lyon & Healey drums pass through my hands but all were either rope tension or Single rod tension with no center eyelet for the rods to pass through. The tension rods on this drum look like they could be Ludwig.

Here is the label inside the drum. The vent hole is just black...no badge. It does not look like it ever had a badge.
