WFL snare

Loading...

Went out for a beer last night and ran into a local band, Many Jr. and the Cyclones. As I walked into the bar I could see the kit through the front window and that WFL jumped right out at me. I spent a few minutes chatting with the drummer. He said that this snare is from the 30's and that he bought it locally for next to nothing. It sounds great!

They sounded really good and were well rehearsed! The guitarist had a great vintage tone w/period amp and slap echo. I really enjoyed the mix of 50's/60's American tunes and rock n'roll diddies from Quebec as well. It was pretty commonplace here for french versions of american and english hits to be released days after the originals were played on the radio.
