Hi again and thanks for the replies.
No worries! No health issues or anything weird…just getting older and don't have as many gigs….don't need all the stuff. I have loved it all and cleaned everything -every thread of every lug screw…every washer…everything….and then they mainly just sit in my drum room.
So, it's time for the next great steward or these lovelies to take over. That's why I would LOVE it if someone on this great forum would take them.
here is what I am afraid of:
I am not going to sell them cheap (as in a "health issue emergency" etc….nothing like that). The prices will be fair…..and I kind of already know what the market is and I certainly know what I have….
So, this deal is not so much for me to sell a great kit at a bargain price as much as it is to get them to someone who is freshly-interested in having one of the sets of their dreams (hopefully). I say this up front so that no one is shocked or surprised when I tell them what I expect t get for these kits.
I am not going to sell my '69 Jazzette!
oh yeah…colors:
The Deluxe Classic is blue sparkle (and it's almost like-new condition). I've never seen a nicer one -EVER!
The'67 Downbeat kit is red sparkle….And the Downbeat snare is a '66 red sparkle -all white interiors.
I also have a '67 red sparkle bass drum that has numbers close enough to pass for matching with the Downbeat kit! So, what you're looking at, essentially, is two potential drum kits -a complete Downbeat or a Jazzette -(sans the Supra). This will be a BIG-money kit…..just so you know!
And what I call the "Gary Larson" Jazzette kit is also for sale. This is gloss black and has a DW rail mount, gull-wing spurs and DW mounting brackets. The shells are Montineiri/Keller prototype shells that are one-of-a-kind. The kit has a very Rogers-like sound -even though it was modeled to be like a Ludwig Jazzette. I'll make someone a pretty good deal on this one, too….relatively-speaking!
I will respond to PMs later today.
Thanks!
:)
