Info Requested re: Vintage Ludwig Drumset Last viewed: 10 seconds ago

Hello Good People,

I'm a musician, but not a drummer. A long time ago I was given a vintage set of Ludwig drums that I've dated back to the late 60's. I kept them around for when I've had various band rehearsals/jams at my home. As my son never took drumming seriously and I've got a new woman in my life that would like more space in the home... and I really don't have much use for them anymore... I figured I'd offer them locally for sale. Of course I don't have any expertise in such things, and if it's not too much of a bother I was hoping for some insight on what I have and what I should look into before pricing them for sale. The L bracket for the ride cymbal was my own addition, as is the Sabian crash cymbal and stand. The hardware came with the set and may or may not be original equipment. Here are a couple pictures:

Dixie Dad, I'm in MD as well. Not sure if I have the wherewithal to buy them right now - but I wouldn't mind trying. Let me know if you want to try to work something local out for the 3 BDP drums.

Since part of the reason to sell is to free up space, I really want to sell the kit as a whole. First of course, I have to get a better idea of value and all the responses so far have been most helpful.

I found a set that sold on Ebay for a little over two grand that appears similar to my set: [ame]http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ludwig-late-60s-Black-Diamond-Pearl-drum-kit-set-drums-complete-SEE-NR-/191067455008?hash=item2c7c81fe20#ht_310wt_962[/ame]

Perhaps it was because of the cymbals that were included? Or would my set fetch a similar amount on the open market?
