Just saw this auction. Very nice Pics in the original Auction. Not sure what I like more, the Case or the Drum itself. What a Find!

The lugs look like 1950's lugs.

Correct, like mentioned in the item Description.L.

I see "1930's" in the picture. BTW, I mentioned the lugs because I'd never seen those lugs with the cloud badge.

Bun is correct the lugs are not original to the drum. they are 50's sound king lugs. not 30's stream line lugs.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

again: Yes, that's already stated in the item Description on the bay ;)

The disadvantage of ths style of auction display here on vdf that it only shows a ceratin part: here the far less attractive.

Yes, no original Lugs, but a nice story behind the Drum and great Pics.

Btw: This is not my auction nor am I related to the seller. I'm not even a 'Slingi' Fan, just had a good time seeing that Drum and it's 'story'.

Very nice drum I've been watching it too. It's been relisted for a bit less moeny now. Yes just add the correct lugs if desired to complete it. Hole spacing is the same so no harn no foul there. My guess the gentleman who owned it replaced the old pot metal streamliner lugs to make it a bit more dependable. Being a old BBC session player he might have had a few crack at gigs who knows. Form over fashion so to speak. DJ are you thinking about picking this one up? The old Radio King's are beautiful sounding drums! Bet this one is a real sweetie.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Thanks for reading before posting...!

I'm not going to bid here, since I reached my 'collecting limit'...

But being nostalgic I like to watch offers like this with good pics and a (here) seemingly authentic story behind the Instrument.

I played Slingerland Drums in the Studio and thought they were great!

Have a nice Sunday,

Lars

A very nice looking drum. However, in order to install those 1950's-60's lugs, all sixteen screw holes would have to have been bored out (widened). Sometimes this was done very professionally but I have seen many that were butchered in order to get the lugs on.
