Rockers Heads Last viewed: 12 hours ago

I know the Rockers line came out in the 80s but did the heads come out earlier?

I have an Acrolite from the late 70s with Rockers heads and I've detailed enough drums now to get an idea when a drum is sporting the original heads. This drum is one of those. It's probably from 78/79. I also noticed yesterday an identical drum on ebay with the identical heads and wires from 1979

Maybe this is all common knowledge? I'm just curious.

I don't know for sure. but I too have had some late 70's drums that had rockers heads and appeared to be original and were 78-80 drums...

Thanks Tommy, my kingdom is in the post

Mike, it sure does look like these were available in the late 70s. This is the one on ebay and it's identical to mine in every way which suggests they left the factory like this.

edit: Mine has the pointy badge and a slightly lower number

that's neat. those look just like they should on there..

my vistalite combos had original rocker heads on the toms. mine still had the plastic lugs, so it should have been some of the first before they switched to the classic lugs. I am told they were made from 78-80. so, there is another reference for us.
