Hey Gary! Ya the weather stinks! Im wondering if we will have practice on Tuesady due to extream cold.

Cooll that you young men are still jammin, I wish I could say I have been with a bass player for 35 years. My band is brand new even though we jammed together back in 1980's, we took a 28 year break, so were starting all over again. But I hear ya man, its fun to jam with the band, Im loving it too!

Thank you!

Hey Gary - me and my old friend and bass player Bobby (Bucks) Veirling have been playing together on and off for 25 years! Playing with Bob is like putting on a comfortable pair of slippers for me. Musically, I always know exactly what he's going to do and when he likes to do it. We're always perfectly locked in when we play together. Bob uses my bass drum patterns for his parts, so it always sounds strong. It's great to jam with guys you know personally and musically as well. Jamming becomes more like putting on a little show for ourselves and entertaining each other as best we can. I've been trying to get Bob and two guitar players over here for more than a month now, but it's like trying to herd cats! I'll get them here, just can't say 'when' exactly.

Amen! Jamming is Life at it's glorious best. If there's a Heaven, there better be an open-mic jam room somewhere, or I'm going to Hell! May end up there anyhow, but I bet the band is hotter than the one in Heaven! LOL

Too many great drums to list here!

I'm (seriously) trying to get the meeting set up. Bobby's having car trouble (he's an hour and a half away from us,) and I even offered to rent a car for the day for him. I'm waiting to hear back from him about the state of his own wheels. Lou, the other guitar player, is another retired guy and available just about any time. Getting Bobby here is the catch. I'll keep you posted. Looking forward to hanging out and playing. The Band

Can't beat the feeling from a live audience(or,at our age, semi live).Another vintage band called "Vintage".Audience has gotten really old,but the youngsters(40's-50's)can't help but like it.Three of us playing for almost 13 years and we picked up a super young lady(50's I think)a couple of years ago..Playing 6 gigs in Feb.but usually 2-3a month. The old cover songs make me feel 20 again(until it's time to stand after a set). LOVE it!It's my retirement job, only with no money.Places to play are hard to find and pay almost nothing.Payed to move equipment and play for fun.LOVE it!band3

Ludwig collection of sets and pioneer snare drums.
Example of Rogers,Slingerland,Gretsch,Premier and Ajax sets.
Various '60's and '70's US,English and Japanese snare drums.
