Anyone notice the ring inside the reso head on the natural maple kit, I think he was doing this long before Remo etc thought of it. If you cut out an old head around the collar it will fit inside the reso head and be sandwiched between the bearing edge and the reso head making a perfect muffle ring.I know it works, I have done it on my thermogloss kit, he also did this on the green sparkles but not sure about the stainless kit.Thanks for sending the pictures I believe Pat Bonham still has one of the Green Sparkles at home.

According to Jason Bonham, he stated to me Quote.. Mom sold all of the drums and cymbals.

man, I would of been a little ****ed if my mom sold my Dad's drums and didn't ask me if I wanted them first. Unless Jason didn't want them.

Jason was European motocross champion then, when his dad passed away. He wasn't playing drums that much then.

There is some film that exists of inside Bonhams house that shows the green sparkle kit set up in the home with his gold discs on the wall, I think it was posted on Jason's site some time ago, I can no longer find the link but was connected to The Olde Hyde [family home].

It also shows one of Jason;s vistalite kits in the same room, also I believe Pat Bonham lent one of the green kits to an exhibition at some point, I knew Bill Townsend of North Carolina that owned Johns Amber Vistalite kit that he got from a charity auction in London, he has now sadly passed so I don't know if his widow still owns the kit or not.

I do believe that some of Johns gear is still owned by the family as one of his Paiste Gong's was recently auctioned.
