Just paid for a 1978 Gloss Blk Premier 2001 wood snare last night! Last viewed: 20 hours ago

$50 to my door!

I have missed out on what must be close to 1/2 dozen of these over the years...slippery little critters they are....

Found this one on CL in Kansas in with a MIJ kit..so emailed and asked if he wanted to sell it alone...and luckily,he said yes! He could put a Acro with the kit instead he said......

Drum has wrong top rim (which I have)...and also..the wires are bent up pretty good..muffler is missing pad> (V.common!),and which I also have...but..oh well...couldn't pass it by for the price...

I can put some Puresound wires on..or get some Baskey repros from UK...

Looked nice in the pic!

I love the metal 2000 snares,so have always wondered what a wood one would be like...guess it is my turn to find out!

2 vintage wood Premier snares in 1 month!

Merry Christmas to me!WalkingParty

Blair, had a blue sparkle 1978 model, great drums except when the tension springs get weak.

Got the drum yesterday......guess I will have to keep looking for that elusive 2001 drum...

When I got the drum yesterday.....taking it apart to clean it....the butt end of the stranger came right off.....I looked at the inners of it,and I could see that a part inside was cracked, and a piece missing....

Then,I notices the throw off lever was missing!....he didn't show that in the pics...

So,now I am going to CAREFULLY drill it for a piccolo strainer and stationary butt plate, and just use it as a Players drum....

It would be just too much energy and $$ to track down the missing parts.....bummer.....

No wonder he sold it to me for the $35 he said he paid for it....plus shipping.....
