+1 with mike here !!
I`m with Mike and vintagemore2000 on this colour, but i wonder how many kits in Butcher Block are out there-seems it wasn`t a big seller for Ludwig. That could someday make them hard to find and pricey.

Ludwig and Rogers produced a ton of this finish. there are many of them out there.
I ike ludwig's light shade of bblock rather than rogers which semed little dark. Great sounding drums though.
I like the finish but not for $800. I'd pay $350.
I don't think you'd find many nice vintage Ludwig kits for $350. This one has the 3ply shells, clear interiors and is very clean and original, no extra holes or mods. I like the sizes as well.

I really like the Butcher Block kits and always have since I first saw them in a Ludwig Catalogue in the 70's.

Larry I'm with you. I always liked the Ludwig BB too better than the Rogers version. The lighter shade gives it a more natural look to me.
JR those are nice sizes! Good deal.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
