Interesting kit with dual mufflers on the toms. Obviously you know the snare and there's at least one very desirable Premier Lokfast cymbal stand. The hi hat stand is Tama. I get very confused with these kits - maybe Star, maybe Pearl or maybe Hoshino. Has it been sitting outside for long:p
Thanks Andrew,
The reason I am curious and interested is... If it is "Jason" then it's the very first kit that I'd ever owned, plus in the same colour... I'm thinking that the Lockfast plus the challenge of the Luddy may make it a worthwhile thing.. Downside is it's in Melbourne a long haul from here.. but I do have some relo's down there..
I think it's been indoors and played by dad & sons for quite a while..
( I think the HH is Pearl)..
Cheers

well at least I got the cymbal stand right... The kit may well have been badged in Australia. There seems to be some over here that were distributed and badged by NZ companies.
This one, which looks similar (BD T-rods, lugs, FT brackets), sold here yesterday and had no badges but was likely sold by a NZ distributor who didn't bother with badges. There was an identical snare sold less than an hour earlier, also with no badge.
Can you ask the seller? How much is it? The snare, even in rough shape, and the cymbal stand make it all the more tasty.
Hi Andrew,
Yes thanks, your pic looks like the same set.. The "Jason" badge was applied to many instruments (everything from Brass to left handed Kazoos), which were sold here by the now defunct retail music chain J. Stanley Johnston,
Hence JASON.
I have asked the seller re the badge brand but he has not yet replied. I think I can read Jason on the round BD badge but my old kit had Jason on a Maroon "Pennant shaped" badge. At present It's around 150.00 on auction with a few days to go..
I'll see how it unfolds..
All the best,
John
I was winning this auction at around 150 and then got an email saying the seller had deleted the listing. Obviously somebody gave him a better offer. Was gonna drive from Adelaide just to get that Ludwig snare so I was pretty annoyed

Either that, or perhaps he pulled it because it was going to amount to less $ than he'd expected - can one do that?
Yes this was a very mysterious withdrawal... I had made some tentative pick up arrangements as well..
Cheers
I just sent this dude a nasty message.. for all it's worth..

haha good work long john. Ive had this happen with the last 3 drum kits I have bid on so it seems its becoming a bit of a problem here and very common
