that third pic is brilliant. pure exhilaration! What an awesome thread & thanks so much for sharing. wasn't much into Led Zepplin when I was younger, The Who for sure, but just really discovered how amazing a drummer bonham was after I started playing the drum kit. nobody compares rhythmically IMO and I like many here have been playing and listening to drums and drumming for decades. his syncopation, finesse, power, rhythmic sensibilities...unmatched. Thanks again for sharing!!!!Brian

Brian. glad your enjoying them, here this will make this a little more special Jimmy Page sent it to me, he is a friend on facebook. I showed him this thread on the VDF he is sending some more when he has the time.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

That's SO cool!

Just listening to this really cool BBC radio show called The John Bonahm Story. For those who haven't heard it, pretty cool program on his history with music and drumming: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCm_e7TFVHs"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCm_e7TFVHs[/ame] Be nice if it were a video, but a cool radio show in any case.

Thanks for the pics, stories and memories...JHB was and will always be one of the drumming elite along with Buddy Rich, Gene Kruppa, Neil Peart, David Grohl, etc... but John will always be known as the King of Groove...Thanks again everyone...R.I.P John. Cheers!Cool1
