Very interesting! Eye Ball
The snare could be brass too. The shells could be 9 ply wood or a combination of wood ply with fiberglass liners. The mounts look like the style from between 1970 - 1976. If the sizes are 24/13/14/18, then it could be The Rock Kit. The white leatherette wrap is in the 1975 catalog, but not the 1973 or 1978.
If you have $150 to spend and they look good in person, then $150 is good. If the snare is brass, you could always sell the rest of the kit. If it's a rare wrap, then you might be able to double or triple your investment when/if you resell.
Wait to see the other members comments. That is, if the seller is willing to hold.

Is a magnet the best way to tell if the snare is a brass one or not?
A magnet is the best way to tell if the snare is not brass. That is, if a magnet sticks, it's a steel shell and definitely not brass; however, if the magnet doesn't stick, it could be either brass, aluminum alloy, or a special metal alloy like the type Ludwig used on several models.
The BD spurs look to be late 60'S ? do not match with tom mounting ?

In addition to the magnet not sticking, it will be heavy. A lot heavier than your Ludwig Supraphonic, which is an alloy shell.
I hope you won't have to sell one of your other kits to keep this one. ;)

Good catch. By 1975 or 76 when this finish was available, the spurs should be the fatter, folding type, not the telescoping type. Were the telescoping spurs still available on the less expensive models?
A couple of the jazz kits had the option of the short "stubbie" spurs but not these ones.. (as far as I know)..
