Hi all,just wondering if anyone has an idea on the value of a Ludwig super classic 1959 black oyster pearl (transition era)snare drum.If anyone can please help it would be greatly appreciated,thanks Tony..

your guess is better than mine. I bought 3 in the last 5 months...$700, $800 and $1,500.00. So if you add them up and divide by 3...$1,000.00

I will admit though that the $1,500.00 price was knowingly high but I wanted it "now".

Thanks for the quick reply and info,i have a chance to buy one for a $1000 its nickel over brass,just wondering if i would be getting ripped off at this price?regards Tony..
