can't wait to read it mark. didn't know you were a Ludwig guy!!would have loved to shared my latest two cob supras with you. a '70 cut b/o badge endorser(?) b stamp supra and a '69 keystone serial numbered b stamp supra.looking forward to the read.ive been thinking about trying to put something together on acrolites. ive got about 17 or 18 different types now if I remember correctly including some special ones.mike
Well, I have a soft spot in my heart for Supras. Aside from the fact that many of my drumming heroes (Ian Paice, Bonham, Simon Kirke) played Ludwig metal snare drums, the first drum I played was a Supra-Phonic.
Usually, my MD articles are accompanied by several color photos but this time, they chose to only use a photo from the '71 catalog that I provided and what appears to be a brand new Supra.
Believe it or not, I have never played an Acrolite. I used to carry one as a spare but never actually played it. Sounds like you're quite a fan of the Acrolite. 17 of them....Wow!
