Thank you mystery member Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I want to say thank you to the mysterious VDF member who sent me a Slingerland floor tom shell and rims. Sure shows what good friends I have made here on this forum in the past couple of years. I have an idea of who it is but they obviously wish to remain anonymous so I will respect them for that as well. This shell will be wrapped in white marine pearl to match the Slingerland kit I pieced together last year. Now I can have the one up two down configuration that I like. This is going to be one heck of a killer kit!

Thank you buddy!

Jeff C

PS, here is a shot of the kit without the 18

Hey, Jeff!

What a wonderful gesture! I too have received items from various members simply because I was in need of a certain piece. Just goes to show you what a great forum this is. Our members are simply the best of the best!

Thanks Hugh, here is a link to the thread on restoring the snare drum, what a major ordeal that was.

Jeff: read all 8 pages: steam box, hide glue, custom plywood insert, new vintage wrap...another successful resto by a very talented woodwright. It doesn't surprise me another member surprised you with a nice gift. Many of us appreciate your passion and respect for vintage drums.
