Practice what you preach my friend. ;)

... and yet the thread lives up to my statement. Thank you for continuing to bring the good stuff to what should have been one of the single most important threads on this Vintage Drum Forum. Kudos to you.

Ahhh... Peter Max! I still have one of his 7up butterfly magnets! Best of luck!

Back in the country. I won several auctions and successfully snagged a wonderful Peter Max from his 1960s work. It's representative of the era as it is his "Love" work. Four long weeks awaiting shipping of the art works won, but I will be patient. Love the feel of those works and how well they associate with The Beatles. Max painted what The Beatles played. Simply wonderful.

I finally had the chance to visit the Grammy Museum on Monday. Needless to say, it was really an incredible experience for me to check out the two vintage Ludwig kits there. Since I'm sure most of us have already seen many pictures of the exhibit online, I thought I'd just share only a few of my own (by the way, picture-taking at the museum is actually prohibited Lame).

Gary Astridge had mentioned finding a Drum City sticker inside the bass drum of the "Let It Be" Hollywood kit when putting the exhibit together, so I had to see it for myself. Indeed, what a cool find! Cool1

I was actually able to make it out last weekend and see the exhibit before it ended. Saturday the place was pretty empty but it allowed me to check everything out. On Sunday Gary Astridge had a special presentation going over photos and tidbits of info that us fanboys just love to hear. He also talked about securing these kits for future generations to enjoy.

It's one of the few times I was in a room with other fanatical keystone badge fans.

Being around other vintage drum enthusiasts is not good for the bank account! It's like being an alcoholic and going wine tasting.

Fortunately nothing was on sale there, but you can bet as soon as I was home I was on ebay and craigslist hunting.

All in all I was glad I made the trip down from sacramento.
