1965 Ludwig Blue Sky Pearl Set Last viewed: 8 hours ago

Need HELP Selling my set. This set is from when I was a kid. 1965 Blue Sky Pearl with 22 inch base, floor, tom, matching snare, base pedal and hi hat stand and snare stand.

Decent condition. I was never any good at drumming, just played for fun in the basement. Drums have been sitting for about 30 years at my mom's and I decided to sell them. I also bought an additional matching bass and tom, 1968 vintage, purchase them in about 69 or 70.

Just curious what is the best way to sell/advertise. Want someone who enjoys nice sounding set.

BTW: any idea what they are worth and should I sell altogether?

Ok guys....added the pics of the bass and snare and floor. The toms are in the car still and the wife has the car along with the big bass.

Post some pictures to start with. Im sure the Luddy experts will help but they need to see it. If you need help posting pictures there is a thread on the subject in the general drum questions section. Looking forward to seeing these.

Thank you!

those are beautiful from what i see. sky blue pearl is usually very faded to a green shade or a grey shade. these still look blue. those are called clubdates. if the bass is a 22, you probably have a 13 ride tom. that should be a 12x15 floor tom. don't see those often in sky blue pearl. if the snare is 6 lug, its a pioneer model. if its 8 lug, thats a jazz festival. with the badge being in the upper position on the floor tom, those are probably mid to late 65's if they are 65's. serial numbers would tell us. do they have white felt baseball bat mufflers? also, check the hoops with a magnet to see if they are brass or steel. if it sticks, they are steel. could be either on this kit. the cob hoops add some to the value.

the more i look, that looks like a 14x14 floor tom though. those should be kept together by all means. probably be good to see a pic of your hi hat stand too. might be an 1123 which is pretty desirable. do you have any of the original cymbals with it?

Mike, thank you so much! I can read the stamps inside the snare and it says 1965 badge 222888 for little bass, tom and floor. and 1968 badge 563530 on the bigger tom and big bass. The snare is 6 lug.
