Is it a covering? Always thought the marble stuff was lacquered...

Oops, didn't know it was a lacquer. I just learned something from you all again. I still think it looks like a movie meltdown though.

Those belong to my good buddy and member Apickel. Those are nice drums!!! I'm sure he wouldn't even be selling them if he wasn't getting hitched this summer!

Curtis - Contact your buddy and tell him I want them. Ask him if he's willing to ship to PA. I'll cover all shipping costs.

Hey everyone!

Yes, these are mine and up for sale. I'm not desperate for cash, but it definitely would help with a few wedding costs!

As stated, the 14" is missing the muffler. There wasn't any inlays when I got it either, though I have no idea what would be original to them.

I've never played these drums, and only took the heads off once, so I've never really tested how in-round they are.

PM Sent Purdie! I've never shipped full kits before, so advice is welcomed.

Thanks everyone.

Of course... Just making fun!

Great drums. Good luck with the sale.

Oh no worries! and thanks...

And I meant wedding, not "weeding", though I'm sure some people need money for that as well.

Andrew - don't care about missing inlays or muffler, I can replace those. You need to very carefully measure each shell for me because being 'in, or out-of-round' is a hard one to fix. The roundness of the shells will be -the only- issue that would queer the deal for me. Otherwise, I think it's a great deal on a classic set of drums. I'm also happy to be able to contribute to your impending wedding, or... to help pay for your Skunk#1 x Northern Lights. LOL

I pm'ed you my home email addy. send me some more photos and the verdict on the roundness of the shells.

Looking forward, and don't worry, if I buy em, I'll walk you through the packing process.

Well, gee. I feel like some kind of gypsy matchmaker.

As Curtis knows -- cuz he's seen me in action -- if I were in full-on no-impulse control, I'd have bought 'em!

> full-on no-impulse control

I was on 'impulse control' and couldn't pass them up. Too cool a kit, at too good a price. I'm going to do my best to restore them.

Thank you for the original heads-up!
