You get excited about boxes that are the perfect size for a drum/parts...

Just got a box that was 25x30x5 with carpet samples and carpet pad.

22" bass drum hoops shipped for a stellar $18 duckets...

Party <--- this is by far my favorite one hahahah

PS.

I'm worried someone is going to laugh and say, $18 is too much... lol

The best dumpster dive I have ever had was at the local Michael's Craft store. I even called them one day and asked if I could take some boxes.

And one time they were stocking shelves and they had a few carts full of clean boxes... $$$ Cha-Ching $$$

There is a craft store by me...I'll see what they throw out..

There is a HUGE 24 Hr grocery store by me,and if I am in when they are stocking at night..I grab all sorts of cool little boxes before they recycle them....

Funny thing is...it about never fails...within a month or less,I need that exact sized box I grabbed!

i have a porch full of boxes i get from: a music store i used to work at, a indie drum co. i used to work at (and do temp work for) and a furnature store to name a few.

always good clean boxes and packing material. and best of all...recycling by reusing! in the last few years i've even been selling boxes too.

CL is also a good place to find free packing material, though i never needed to answer the ads. but i see them all the time.

There is a dollar store in my town that is super cool about boxes too! Water softener places are good for FT's also!

You had me at dumpster dive. Ewe. I can't help thinking about some greasy box with a nice drum in it. I know you guys don't do that, just me thinking cynically.

Uhaul, HD and Wally have boxes and packing material. You can build the cost into S&H charges.

Custom wheel shops are another source for big boxes. Thick cardboard for hoops and cymbals.
