Back To The Future Blunder Last viewed: 5 hours ago

I just had to post this. So I'm flipping through the channels and Back To The Future is on. The band Marvin Berry And The Starlighters is playing at the Enchantment Under The Sea dance and this is the drum set they used with a 70's Ludwig tom mount that's backwards and if you look at the mounted tom, it looks like a B/O badge that was removed and the tom is upside down. Another Hollywood blunder. Everyone knows this scene took place in 1955 (unless you haven't seen the movie).

But how do you know that the drums weren't 'back from the future?' Once you throw time travel into the mix all bets are off. Buddy Rich on a DW kit with double pedals, Gene Krupa playing a green Vistalite Octaplus, Louie Bellson on Simmons pads and Chic Webb spinning round and round on Tommy Lee's hydraulic rig. It's crazy talk I say!

Good eye by the way, especially regarding the badge removal. At least they made an effort by picking out WMP, making it a four piece and adding a cymbal mount.

LoLoLoLoThe thought that maybe the drum set got sucked into the wake of the Delorean's time vortex while traveling through the 70's did cross my mind.
