Shouldn't there be a level above Guru? Last viewed: 4 hours ago

I agree with you GG. I've only been here since last year, and into vintage drums for about 3 years. Fortunately, I've had the income to amass quite a nice collection, but most of my posts are of an inquisitive or complimentary nature. I would like my title to be and stay 'student'.

Sure Tommy, you can appropriate my posting titles and I'll steal your avatar picture. Whoops, you lost your bass mic again! So how do the rest of us get avatar pictures?[Attachment: 55340]

Hey Mike!

Well... truth be told, we really can't change the software... it is what it is! I was 'jes sayin' it would be GRAND that we could! And regarding personal avatars: More bad news I'm afraid... you can't... get one I mean. From the inception of this forum, David didn't want personal avatars, thus they aren't enabled. The ONLY reason I have one, is my admin/mod position, as David felt it would be easy to recognize the admins/mod with a picture. I'm sure you DO have an avatar on other forums though, no? Oh, and lastly...

You can borrow the bass drum mike/stand, but I'll need it back before the next gig!

I mean, I have "Vintage drum guru" written under my nickname, but that's just because I wrote a few hundred posts like "Oh, man, those Club dates look awesome!!!!!!1" or "Gee, I'd love to have a swimming pool filled with sparkling champagne and floating Zildjians carrying immense piles of potato fries." I don't feel like a guru. This title should be awarded personally by admins to people who've proven they know their drums. I'm sure everyone has a few names in his head.

I like the floating Zildjians carrying fries! Can we make them sweet potato fries, i think they'd go better with the champagne.

Cool ! And to that....

A monk noticed four students riding their bikes back to the monastery and asked each why they rode their bikes.

Three rode their bikes for "purposeful" reasons.... saving time, easier carrying of market items, exercise.... The monk praised them all for their reasons.

When he asked the fourth student, he replied:

"I ride my bike to ride my bike".

The monk bowed to the student and said "You are my Teacher."

Everyone has something to offer around here, it's a great place to be....Clapping Happy2Clapping Happy2Clapping Happy2

These names are just that - names. A rose would still taste like crap and cut your tongue up something fierce if it were called something different.

I know a secret code that will always keep my listed rank the same. I will never gain a different official rank, no matter how many posts I make. nah-na-na nanana! Mind Blowi

I cannot share this code, however, as the person who gave it to me said to keep it secret.

Apologies to all for my absence. I haven't quit the club, just doing too much of the four letter word lately......WORK. Of course, my absence could be a blessing to many as well, so I won't oversell this apology for more than it is! LOL

And Latzy, haven't forgotten about ya, more importantly, the drum. Haven't been home since we last talked. I will give you a call when I don't have to get up at 430 am.
